Directions

Recipe instructions Pineapple Honey Glazed Ham

  1. Step 1

Set oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). Take ham out of package and put it in a baking dish.

  2. Step 2

Make a glaze by mixing pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, honey, and brown sugar in a bowl. Stir well. Pour some of the mixture on top of the ham and keep the rest aside for later.

  3. Step 3

Place pineapple rings on top of the ham and secure them in the center with a toothpick. Add a cherry onto the toothpick in the center of the pineapple.

  4. Step 4

Insert cloves into the pineapple rings.

  5. Step 5

Cover the ham with foil and cook for 2 to 2 ½ hours (20 minutes per pound).

  6. Step 6

While the ham is baking during the final hour, make the glaze. Place the remaining glaze in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Once it starts boiling, lower the heat to medium-low and cook until it thickens, approximately 10-15 minutes, by stirring occasionally.

  7. Step 7

Then, take it off the stove and let it cool down a bit.

  8. Step 8

In the last half-hour of cooking, unwrap the foil from the ham and pour some of the glaze/juice from the bottom of the baking dish over it.

  9. Step 9

Once your ham is cooked completely, take it out from the oven.

  10. Step 10

Put the thickened glaze on top, slice it and serve it.

Keep the extra food in the refrigerator for a maximum of four days. Don't forget to take out the cloves when you serve it. If you want, it's okay to exclude the cherries. If you prefer, apple juice or orange juice can replace the pineapple juice.
