  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¾ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • ¾ cup low-fat sour cream
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  1. Step 1

    In one bowl, mix the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, sour cream, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
